A 17 year Army veteran and former conservative has started a nationwide movement to rewrite the Declaration of Independence as the "ultimate sign of distrust and dissatisfaction" against the tyrannical rule of the Bush administration and his band of neo-conservative warriors.

Mark Glenn of Colorado sacrificed his full pension and other military benefits by opting out of the military early, saying he could no longer serve honorably after learning firsthand the extent of lying and deceit going on within the government and military after 9/11.

Glenn, who left the military right before the start of the Iraqi war, said he was privy to intelligence information regarding the CIA’s complicity in Oklahoma City, the WTC attacks and the eventual manipulation of information about weapons of mass destruction to justify the Iraqi invasion.

"I am an Army veteran of 17 years who more than understands the way our covert government system operates and the knowledge that we were going back to Iraq by any means possible was a major reason I left the Army before retirement," said Glenn. "I no longer will be constrained by a military gag order and the details will be made known in an upcoming web site.

" I knew Oklahoma City was going to happen. I knew airplanes were going to be flown into the WTC and I know that more attacks are going to happen on US soil. Very soon Israel and America will attack Iran and I have other information that Denver is one of the next targets for this new wave of government sponsored terror in America.

"Of course, this will be blamed on Iran and Syria as justification to assist Israel in their attack on these nations."

Glenn said he has received support from thousands of people who have pledged to help him in his goal to rewrite the Declaration of Independence as well as point out how the neo-cons now, like England in the past, stand in direct opposition to the advancement of freedom in America.

His show of dissent appears to mirror a groundswell of dissent spreading across the country like wildfire, as Americans become more and more frustrated with their government’s war mongering abroad and its lack of concern for domestic policies, which many say are bordering on high treason.

At home, polls have estimated that over 50 million Americans oppose the Iraqi war and any future invasion of Iran. Also, polls this week show Bush’s job approval rating sagging, as it has dropped to all-time low of 46%.

Abroad, even the Washington Post recently reported that their now exists only two world superpowers: "the first being America and the second being Worldwide opinion against America."

And Glenn’s dissatisfaction with his government seems to reflect worldwide opinion.

"The current neo-con movement fronted by Bush will stop at nothing to create a system of murder and slavery to fill their pockets with money and must be stopped if we are to live as a free and peaceful nation," said Glenn, adding that time is of the essence.

"If people fear government, you have tyranny. But, when the government fears people, you have freedom! This is what needs to happen at some point in time and very soon if we want to regain our freedom from the administration of the last four and one half years. We must inform the masses of the gravity of the true situation if this is to ever happen. We have maybe six months at the very maximum to launch an astronomical campaign to get people to understand reality.

"All branches of our government have been hijacked and have been put into motion to kill and control the entire population of the world. Our food supply, water, medical, dental, tax system, police and more have been put on alert to prepare for this preplanned system to be implemented and we are financing our own demise through all of the above stated agencies without the realization that this is happening in our midst."

In order to do his part, just like the Founding Fathers showed opposition to King George III and England’s tyrannical rule, Glenn said he has started a group called CACTUS of America (Citizens Against the Corporate Takeover of the United States). The group, to be organized on his new web site, is geared at uniting Americans to openly declare sovereignty against neo-cons inside and outside government.

Glenn said his idea is to re-write the Declaration of Independence and he hopes millions will jump onboard his bandwagon before it’s too late.

"What we will need as a nation to overcome this continual lying and deceit from our own government is a new Declaration of Independence, modified from it's original state to declare that we, as Americans, will stand united against the tyranny brought about by the current Bush administration and his band of followers," said Glenn, adding that he is seeking assistance from others more skilled at literary and legal matters as he is not a trained writer or lawyer.

"A revised Declaration of Independence is another stepping stone to gain another foothold on our freedom that our forefathers fought so hard to obtain for this country. We must prove to the world that we can stand together and prevent a repeat of Hitler’s regime, standing as a nation against these corporate rulers by openly declaring our independence from these sick and greedy people.

"I think that if the original Declaration was such a powerful document in the 1700's, this revision will be even more powerful 220 years later. My objective, like back at the formation of our country, is a true and complete separation from this illegitimate system of government for the benefit of the people of the United States of America."

Besides revising the document, Glenn pointed out that our government’s present actions remind him why the Founding Fathers thought it necessary to rid the colonies of England’s oppressive rule. He called attention to the illegal war in Iraq, the government conspiracy behind 9/11 and the passage of the Patriot Act to spy on citizens as three of the major examples of why a new American Declaration of Independence is needed.
